 Today is a gap year, we started off class with a test. The test was about the poems we have read so far. I kind of feel confident about the test but i’m going to jinx myself. After the test i was working on the project. I was fixing my mistakes with the poem so hopefully it’s good. 

 Today in class we grabbed 2 worksheets. One of them was like a reflection on cultures. We wrote about our ethnicity and where we are from. We started in writing a poem about it and it’s due thursday. We are supposed to present it thursday and im very nervous on that.

 Today in class we read about a new poem. The poem was called “Mother to son” by Langston Hughes. We took notes and answered some questions on the back. After reading this poem, I learned that no matter how hard life gets, just don’t give up, keep going. Today I felt a mixed of emotions but I managed to get my work done.

Today in class, we read a poem called Harlem. We read the poem and annotated the poem as well. After reading this, this made me realize that i need to try harder to achieve my dream. After the poem, we were handed a worksheet. Worksheet was our future and i answered these confidently.

 Today in class we started off with a poem. We broke down the poem and annotated. At the same time we were answering questions. I ended up completing my work. i felt tired but not as much. 

 Today in class we learned started off with with another black history month ringer. After that we talked about culture. What’s respect and what’s disrespectful. Afterwards we presented our projects, and i presented mine as well. I felt nervous but i was able to get it over with.

 Today in class we started off by doing black history month ringer. We talked about Condeezza Rice. I learned that she was the first Africa American woman to serve as the US secretary of the state. For the remainder of the class, mostly all of us worked on our mini project. I ended up finishing and turning it in. 

 Today in class we started off by learning about a famous person. We did this bc it was the start of black history month. We’re going to do this for this month to appreciate black people, and at the end we ended up doing an assignment. I felt very tired today and hopefully tomorrow will be better.
